Josh works with my very elderly father 5 days a week in a care home setting.  Although Dad now relies on a wheelchair due to leg weakness, he can still stand to transfer and walk short distances with his walker.  It’s so important for Dad, and any senior for that matter, to maintain as much strength and mobility as possible for as long as possible.  I have no doubt that Dad’s sessions with Josh are largely responsible for Dad’s continued ability to stand and walk short distances.  If Dad complains of a sore leg, Josh will tailor that day’s session accordingly.  Josh is a very kind, respectful, patient and personable young man who seems so well-suited to working with seniors.  Many of them suffer from some degree of dementia but Josh simply adapts the session as needed.  Because of Josh’s friendly and upbeat personality, a fringe benefit of the rehab sessions is the 1:1 social interaction which is so often lacking for seniors.  If you or your loved one need rehab and have an opportunity to work with Josh, take it!! 

A good teacher and communicator who explains the exercises well

My husband is a Resident at South Granville Park Lodge where he is supported by Kento Konno, one of the Rehab Physio Assistants working there. These Rehab sessions are a highlight of E.’s weekly routine. Kento is a warm, calm and encouraging therapist who works on what is most needed for E. on any day, while also coaching him towards more overall body balance, strength and motor control. In my husband’s own words, “he is a good teacher and communicator who explains the exercises well. He leaves me with practices to follow up on my own.” An added bonus is the month-end report on E.’s progress and challenges during that month.
