At Physio For Seniors, we’re looking for a Rehab Assistant to become an essential part of our healthcare team. You’ll work closely with our Physiotherapist and our senior Rehab Assistant to support patients on their journey to recovery, helping them regain movement, confidence, and quality of life.

Compensation: $27-$30/hour

Education: bachelor degree

Qualifications:

  • Certified Rehab Assistant (Canadian or internationally trained – must provide documentation and references)
  • Physiotherapy student seeking hands-on experience, especially in senior care
  • Availability Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends)

Skills:

  • Experience or strong understanding of long-term care environments
  • A genuine passion for working with seniors and collaborating as a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in patient load within the rehab program
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal abilities to provide both physical and emotional support to clients
  • A calm, patient, and supportive approach in fast-paced or high-stress situations
  • A positive attitude—your energy helps shape a warm and uplifting environment for patients and staff alike

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Physiotherapist and senior Rehab Assistant in carrying out individualized treatment plans
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility activities
  • Track and document patient progress and communicate updates to the clinical team
  • Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and welcoming
